'Community Development & Empowerment Foundation' is one of the most reputed charitable and non-profit organizations in Kashmir, working for the social development and providing relief to the low - income groups since 2017.
CDEF is the vision of a group of like-minded, motivated, sincere & devoted friends. They started the mission with zeal, devotion and dedication.
CDEF started its Services from Srinagar. Now an office has been established in 2019 at Alamgiri Bazar, Srinagar. ALHAMDOLILLAH CDEF's functions have extended throughout Kashmir. The Office Bearers are now trying to establish centers at almost all parts of the valley. All centers will become functional soon to serve suffering humanity without any differentiation in various fields. With all of their efforts CDEF has spread its network across Kashmir and serving hundreds of people. We are providing relief in health, education & community services.
CDEF Network team comprises highly dedicated , self motivated , well educated , widely experienced and enlightened volunteers from within the valley who since its inception are actively involved in variety of community services and developmental activities in different fields.
CDEF was registered on Sept: 2019 under Registration no : Dyse /7307-15 /824 Industries Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir. It is run by a team of highly motivated intellectuals and social workers , comprising representatives of various fields of life. Vision of the CDEF
CDEF vision is to serve the community so as to develop an educated and a balanced Society based on values of moderation , peace , tolerance , mutual respect, equality and justice, honesty and transparency , and solidarity with the poor and marginalized people. To work for the progress and development of the common people focusing on health and capacity building through establishing institutions , community development center , vocational training centers , and women self- employment schemes including creating an awareness of their civic and economic rights and responsibilities.
Basic objects of the Foundation are :
a . To serve the humanity irrespective of caste, creed and religion ;
b . Progress and unity in the community;
C. To help and support the deserving persons;
d . To strive for unity and prosperity in the community
Sphere of activity of the Foundation shall be social service, welfare for the orphans, employment programmes , disaster management , health , education. Preference will be given to the following services :
i . To help people living below poverty line to come out of such a situation and find out ways for the same ;
ii . To help youth to strive for a respectful livelihood;
iii . To persuade youth to specialize in technical jobs , art and craft and in such other areas and help them to strive for the same ;
iv . To educate the youth in persuading latest knowledge in the present technology era and help them to attain higher educational standards;
v . To strive for the abolition of un - Islamic customs and arrange moral lectures for the same and draw the attention of the youth of their duty towards issues relating to unity issues and frame a concept of a respective society ;
vi . To provide assistance to the deserving people and people effected by natural calamity and other disasters ;
vii . To strive for making the rites relating to marriage simple and in accordance with the Islamic principles;
viii . To strive for unity of the community ;
ix . To strive for enlightenment of thought;
X. To arrange programmes for the welfare of the Women and strive for the empowerment of women in various fields ;
xi . To prove assistance to the poor children and orphans and arrange for their maintenance and education ;
xii . To provide every possible help to the disabled ;
xiii . To arrange for expenditure on the marriage of needy girls ;
xiv . To provide every assistance on the medical treatment of the ailing and deserving people;
xv . To establish craft centers where deserving, orphan and poor boys and girls can get technical training and moral education .
